Installation guide
What's Included
Before beginning the installation, familiarize yourself with the pieces that are included:
- Lower Shaft
- Upper Shaft
- Steel Shaft Segment
- Shaft Measuring Tool
- Screw
- Alignment Tool
- Steel - Graphite Adaptor (2 sizes)
Step 1: Measure Cut Line
Measuring from the sole of your putter, measure 8.5" up along the shaft and place a mark. DO NOT CUT YET. This will be your cut line but we need to do a compatibility check first.
Compatibility Check
The only thing worse than staying with a stock steel shaft on your putter is cutting the shaft on your putter before making sure XG1 is compatible with your specific model putter.

Step 2: Cut & Prep Shaft
After performing the compatibility check, cut the shaft along the marked cut line.
Lightly sand the shaft about 1-1/4" down from where you cut.
Step 3: Install Lower Shaft
Install the alignment tool onto the XG1 pin, and tighten gently with the included screw. The alignment tool will be aligned with the sight line to make sure the shaft is oriented correctly. This way, anyone's grips should work with anyone's lowers.
Epoxy the adaptor onto the steel first, followed by the graphite segment. Twisting the graphite while installing will help keep the shaft from building up pressure.
Step 4: Install Upper Shaft
After the epoxy has had enough time to cure, its time to cut the putter to length & grip. Fasten the upper handle segment onto the lower and tighten with your club torque wrench.
Mark your desired overall putter length and trim the upper segment just like you would with any other club installation. Once cut, install whatever grip you'd like and roll 'em straight!
